Are your soul and body still stuck in the 80s? โInner Childโ (Tepilunia Soundscapes Version) by Lethiaโs Natorium will take you headlong into the soulful realm of Lethiaโs voice, depicting an age bygone. Upon the breakthrough, it runs a ballad-like heavenly piano melody and rich, velvety vocals with the range to go down luscious lows and soaring sensual highs. The song reminds me of the 1978 song โWuthering Heightsโ by Kate Bush, reckoning a familiar piano melody and an evocative voice.
โInner Childโ (Tepilunia Soundscapes Version) is a unique song due to it being produced in an advanced way and not belonging to any band, despite the sound of Lethiaโs Natorium, but to the artist Pena Hughes-John. The musicians collaborating with her do so in a very remote manner, with her sending over the recordings, which she does at home, while the pianist, violinist, cellist, and other musicians she worked with for the single send her their pieces.
Penaโs single, โInner Child,โ tells us the reality of our lives, shunning away the inner child within ourselves due to the complicated world binding us with invisible chains and conditioning us to behave exactly the same. With manners and etiquette, so many have fallen short of their dreams, and it couldnโt be sung any better than by Pena herself.
Pena portrayed the wholeness of the emotions with her vocal layering. The highs being complemented by the lows, we felt a touch of a radiant sun within us through her. Despite all of it being done separately, โInner Childโ couldnโt have sounded any more whole and put-together than it does at the moment.
