Invincible Feat. David Beretta Owens by Soul Suture: Review
Vince van der Walt (the man behind Soul Suture) once again delivers his trademark blend of infectious riffs and massive rock grooves, and continues his unique collaborative approach, which was born with 2021’s acclaimed debut EP ‘The Art of Escape / The Escape of Art’; each new song features an exciting collaboration with a different vocalist, and ‘Invincible’ does not disappoint. With his new single, written and co-produced by South African rocker David Beretta Owens, Soul Suture is back today to prove that he is invincible.
Fans of Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, and Breaking Benjamin will definitely like this song due to the instantaneous heavy rock meets metal from the get-go. Inspiring vocals by David Beretta Owens made me want to take a break and play guitar. Dave’s contributions to the music here are extraordinary; you can expect powerful growls of pent-up wrath unleashed in big emotional hooks, expertly tempered with periods of delicate reflection. Dave’s lyrics go deep, providing an uplifting homage to the strength of the human spirit and the possibility of personal transformation through adversity. Kyle Reece Williams from leading SA progressive rockers adds his drumming, which blends perfectly. Johan Heyns did the mixing and mastering at The Laundry Room in South Africa. You just need one listen to be completely captivated and desperate for more.
Giant riffs bob and swirl between distorted and grooved sections. The production is flawless, taking listeners on a journey of self-belief through anger and emotional hooks, conquering one’s inner demons.
