Jerard & Jovaun release remarkable new song ”Till We Meet’
“‘Til We Meet” was initially intended as a teaching demonstration. When recording studio vocals, the duo wished to demonstrate various studio procedures. A willing participant who was an accomplished vocalist but lacked studio experience was available. They also needed to write a song because they wanted the freedom to use it on social media platforms. Jerard had just read in the Bible the prayer that Moses had instructed Aaron and his sons to pray for the Israelites. Moses shared these words in Numbers 6:24: “The Lord bless you, keep you, shine on you, give you peace, etc.” The popular jazz standard ‘Cherokee!’ also caught his attention at the time and he couldn’t get it out of his head. ‘Till We Meet’ began with these two elements.
Jerard & Jovaun, a husband-and-wife contemporary Christian duo and worship team, made their official debut in 2017 with the single ‘Higher Higher’. Their acapella version of ‘What A Beautiful Name’ went viral on social media in 2018. which resulted in an agreement for recording with Motown/Capital records. They released an EP in 2019 called ‘What a Beautiful Name’ as a follow-up. They issued a self-titled EP in 2021. They have returned with ‘No Troubled Hearts’, their debut album, which was released on February 17, 2023. This album includes the popular song ”Til We Meet’.
