The captivating new single ‘So Far to Fly’ from Harvard-born blues-rockers Jocelyn & Chris’ eighth studio album, “Favorite Ghosts,” is shared. A pensive, thumping neo-folk rock track with bitingly sincere lyrics is Jocelyn & Chris’ most recent release. The duo is known for their “millennial spin on classic rock” (TODAY). Together with the rest of the orchestration, Jocelyn’s distinctive voice and Chris’s skillful guitar playing tell a story that is both tragic and uplifting. Byron Isaacs of The Lumineers plays bass on the song as well.
“This song is one of my personal favorites off the record”, claims Jocelyn. “Chris came up with the riff first, and the rest was inspired by it. Lyrically, it is about those who we frequently overlook because they are difficult to fit into preconceived notions of who they should be. Worse yet, they may feel pressured to become someone they are not. We all have a lot of opportunities to be kinder, and we still have a long way to go.”
With tour dates across the US for their “Favorite Ghosts” tour, Jocelyn & Chris and their band will present music from the new album while on the road this summer. These events include a first-time appearance at Bourbon & Beyond in Louisville, KY, and a return to Milwaukee’s Summerfest.
