Joe May released remarkable new song ‘Light Undetected’
On Friday, March 3, 2023, Joe May’s first single, ‘Light Undetected’, was released, launching his new solo endeavor. On March 6th, the ensuing music video will be made available. Though most people are familiar with May from his keyboard work for the up-and-coming jam/funk band Pluto Gang from Charlotte, NC, May’s debut single reveals a new sonic profile, displaying his self-described “Postmodern Psych Pop” studio sound.
The straightforward, insatiable urge for exploration and discovery lies at the heart of musical creativity. It’s the ability to maintain the sense of endless wonder and curiosity that lies at the beginning of each new melodic space to occupy.
