The dynamic duo of Khutso Gololo and his brother Thabang, better known as K.G.initials and Forenzik respectively has released their latest EP, “Coalition” this April 12.
Signifying their unapologetic storytelling and unfiltered creativity, the EP kicks off with “I Can,” a track that sets the tone for the rest of the project with its brooding undercurrent and thumping backbeat. The rapper pours his heart out as he sings about moving on from heartbreak and finding someone better. It’s a powerful opener that grabs your attention from the start.
As we move through the tracks, we’re taken on a journey through the streets of Tembisa with “Ghetto.” It portrays life in the ghetto, with catchy rap verses and groovy backdrops that make you feel like you’re right there on the streets with them.
As “Coalition” progresses, we’re treated to tracks like “Deadly Exposure” and “W.W.L.B.W.M.,” each one showcasing the duo’s lyrical prowess and unique style. Whether they’re delivering bold assertive lines or insightful lyrics, Khutso and Forenzik command attention with their sharp delivery and contemplative tone.
Closing out the EP is “Apostles of Freewill,” which features immersive ambient music and powerful vocals. As the artist raps about empowerment and freedom with thick and heavy vocals, the heavy beats drive home their message with strength and aggression.
Behind the scenes, producers Yung T & El-Gueta bring the artists’ vision to life with guidance and expertise. With its gritty lyricism, infectious hip-hop beats, authenticity and catchy groove, “Coalition” is a must-listen for anyone craving music with substance.
