KIND WORLD by KIND WORLD: EP Review
KIND WORLD’s eponymous EP is a dreamy 5-track sonic experience. Trippy studio effects like reverb, phasing, distortion, and reversed sound are used in this psychedelic rock EP. Psychedelic culture, which is centered on perception-altering hallucinogenic drugs, has greatly influenced and inspired the listeners. In addition to pop melody, the music also featured modern electronic sound effects, a recording technology atmosphere, and sonic texture. It has extended original instrumental solos and improvisation. The vocals sound more captivating because they are breathy. The audience becomes more and more engrossed in the songs’ breathy vocals and lazy melodies shrouded in a cotton candy haze. The more you listen, the more the lyrics seem to blend together, blurring until you are unable to distinguish between the ending and the beginning.
KIND WORLD is both an aspiration and a declaration that music can uplift and heal us, increase our awareness of and empathy for one another, and, as a result, change the world for the better. These songs are similar to a meditation on impermanence, the knowledge that one must cultivate those essential qualities that are only properly seen with the heart because life does not last forever. Being happy and free is all about enjoying what we already have in life, expressing or feeling content with one’s possessions, and position. It’s being content without looking to fill your life with more material possessions.
