Laughing In Slow Motion released fiery track titled โAhead of the gameโ
The song emphasizes the importance of looking on the bright side despite how stupid and crazy the world has become. The band mostly wrote and demoed the song from their homes during lock downs brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic in the latter months of 2020. The song is about overcoming obstacles, taking care of oneself, and looking forward to a time when people wonโt let little disagreements, biased media, and opposing viewpoints drive them to act violently, hatefully, or destructively. However, the message is generalized to be interpreted by the listener as they so choose. It is about being conscious of negative emotions like sadness, rage, and confusion as well as the importance of finding something that makes you happy and propels you out of the background and into a peaceful, honorable life that is worthwhile. It captures the essence of the rock music that our band loves from the past 30 years or so, while also giving it their own modern twist. The song was produced by the band members and mixed by the wonderful Ryan Dahle (Age Of Electric, Limblifter, Mounties), one of LISMโs 90s rock heroes, confirming our undeniable 90s rock/grunge influence.
