Dallas-based singer-songwriter Alexandra sets the stage ablaze with her debut EP, Let It Burn, released on September 26, 2025. Recorded in a camp-out weekend at her Dallas home with production duo JST FRNDS, the five-track project captures the warmth, camaraderie, and spontaneity of live jam sessions. Drawing influence from Americana icons like Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks, Alexandra fuses country, folk, and pop into an intimate yet fiery collection that feels like a unfiltered, soulful, and alive conversation between friends after midnight. The project was recorded using whatever gear they had at hand—bandana-dampened drums, dining table desks, and a living-room piano—making Let It Burn a true labor of love.
The EP kicks off with “Funny,” a familiar favorite that opens with nostalgic radio static before blooming into a breezy rhythm of strumming guitars and crisp percussion. Alexandra’s voice floats with relaxed confidence as she muses, “Same old same feels like Groundhog Day,” bringing a dose of humor and hard-won wisdom to get through the monotony of modern life. Then, as the record deepens, we move through “Adrenaline” and “Lift The Veil,” where the record gets in the mood for revealing. On “Lift The Veil,” glistening guitars shimmer against thumping drums as Alexandra sings with piercing honesty, “So open the bottle, I got all night / Watching your mouth move, but I am stuck in my mind…” Her voice trembles with strength and vulnerability, where she admits what we don’t usually reveal.
The title track, “Let It Burn,” stands tall as the emotional summit of the EP—a darkly anthemic confession where Alexandra’s husky, deep vocals rise over pounding drums, carrying a sense of liberation through pain. It’s a song about facing the fire instead of running from it, letting the past go up in smoke to make room for rebirth.
All told, Let It Burn glows with sincerity. Listen to “Let It Burn” by Alexandra on Spotify.
