The single is set to be released ahead of a summer of UK festivals and a US tour with Halsey.
Abby Roberts has returned with a new song, ‘Pink Champagne,’ which you can watch in the video below.
The new song is a follow-up to Roberts’ viral debut single ‘Paramaniac,’ and it has already gained traction on TikTok ahead of its formal release. It comes ahead of a slew of UK festival appearances, including Community in London and The Great Escape in Brighton, as well as a summer tour in support of Halsey in the United States.
“I composed ‘Pink Champagne’ because I wanted to try my hand at writing a love song without making it cliche, because there are so many love songs out there and I didn’t want to be all soppy!” Roberts stated of the song’s inspiration.
“It’s essentially a breakup song reminiscing about the sweeter times of a not-so-perfect relationship,” says the artist. “I believe it’s incredibly visual and manages to transport you on a journey with the dreamy sensations.”
Below is the official video for the song, directed by Grow Up Sad.
Roberts rose to stardom after posting TikTok videos on make-up, beauty, and art that earned millions of views. Since then, he’s collaborated with Yungblud, Zara Larsson, Liam Payne, and others.
She talked about her impending six-track debut EP and her desire of working with Arctic Monkeys in an In Conversation video interview with NME earlier this year.
“Guitar came to me before I knew I wanted to ever put music out there,” Roberts told NME, explaining that she hadn’t played guitar before starting work on the EP. I just wanted to learn how to play an instrument because who doesn’t want to be able to pick up a guitar whenever they want? It turned out to be a little more challenging than I had anticipated.”
