Calling all fans of face-melting riffs, and unbridled energy: psychedelic garage rock band Sly Fangโs latest offering, Live from Dead Moon, released this June 28 is here to blow your speakers and expand your mind with psychedelic rock, krautrock, and noise rock captured live.
The first four songs of the EP bring back some garage and punk rock fury from their debut album. โBy the Numbers โ Liveโ opens Live from Dead Moon with fuzzy guitar riffs and follows with doubled-down guitar blaze, while the cymbals splash. Connorโs high and hazy vocals get high with abandon. The scorching guitar solos leave you reeling in the vibes.
โThe Gas โ Liveโ follows, building from a foundation of rhythmic riffs into a full-on sonic assault. The drums and guitars lock in tight, creating a driving groove that propels the song forward with unstoppable momentum. The vocals, thick and deep, snarl with raw energy, urging the listener to โHit the gas/Donโt look back.
Live from Dead Moon brings the longest track with their debut albumโs title track, โHowl โ Live,โย which explodes into a maelstrom of blazing, melodic, and downright gritty guitar lines, creating an adrenaline-fueled frenzy that will leave you breathless. The bridge takes a sharp turn, descending into a mysteriously spacey interlude before building back up to a thundering climax.
The EP closes with โGet Punched (Jam),โ a moody exploration that shimmers with a head-bobbing groove. The song churns towards a vibrant climax, leaving us enthralled.
Listen to Live from Dead Moon by Sly Fang to get the best of garage rock.
