Lost by Rick Smoove: Review
Rick Smoove infatuates the listeners with a mesmerizing touch of afro-beats and hip hop in his latest release, ‘Lost’. Being a promising newcomer all the way from Massachusetts, Rick knows what he does best: he both raps in cursive and is an authentic player on the instrumentals. “Lost” is the ultimate manifestation of how Rick Smoove can push the boundaries even further but still stays true to his essence: a contemplative young artist who talks about love, timing and patience. In an industry of heavily auto-tuned rappers like Playboi Carti, Rick Smoove paves his own way with his storytelling tone of voice that creates an easy, somewhat sensual atmosphere with relatable lyrics and an easy-to-follow intonation. The instrumentation he uses really hits the nail in the head, giving true chill on the Caribbean beachside vibe, not only solidifying his lyrics and concept overall but also reminds the music industry right now that there are still a lot of elements from contemporary music that not a lot of African-American artists have leveraged enough. If you are a die-hard fan of Meek Mill, a storyteller, and Childish Gambino, a quirky R&B genius, Rick Smoove is definitely a name to seek out.
Lost by Rick Smoove is now available on streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube.
