Massive Wagons launch new album Triggered!
The band Massive Wagons has revealed the details of their upcoming release. This year’s House Of Noise will be followed by the enticingly-titled Triggered!, as well as the single and video Fuck The Haters.
Frontman Baz Mills says the song has a serious message. “Simple song, simple message,” he explains. No one should care about the naysayers. Do what makes you happy, wear what makes you happy, and be proud of who you are. While this subject has been covered in songs before, I wanted to bring it back to its most basic and powerful form. You may not like swearing, but sometimes you just have to “stand up and let it rip.”
Finally, as you do these days with the hashtags, he adds: #Stopbullying and #FUCKTHEHATERS. And that’s the fairest you’re going to get.
Lewis Cater, whose previous credits include work with Pendulum, The Hunna, Sum 41, and Neck Deep, directed the music video for Fuck The Haters. When it comes to social media trolling and sinister anonymous figures, it’s a “no-holds-barred performance chock full of the band’s trademark charisma as they stand up against constant social media trolling.”
With Chris Clancy and Colin Richardson, who worked on House Of Noise, Triggered! was recorded at Andy Sneap’s Backstage Studios in rural Derbyshire.
Mills says, “I think this album sounds a lot more British.” In my opinion, our sound has been updated to a more contemporary and exciting level. Despite the punk influence, it still has all of the guitar music elements that we love.
Many of the songs are filled with anger and passion. It was a labor of love for us all to put this one together. As far as albums go, I believe this is the best one yet. This one stands alone as an original-sounding Wagons albumโฆ I know that sounds corny, but our other albums felt like they had a foot in the previous one in some way, be it leftover songs, a certain sound or styleโฆ but I think this one stands alone as an original-sounding Wagons album.”
