Mike and Mandy released captivating new song ‘Timeworn’
‘Timeworn’ was first created while the COVID-19 pandemic was at its worst and writers were instructed to stay at home. As a result, it is a suitable sequel to Mike and Mandy’s debut EP, ‘Shelter in Place’. With increased political protests in public, year-round engulfing fires, and catastrophic storms, the world still seems more chaotic than ever. All-nighters, “fear-fighting all alone,” and the tense staccato guitars that open the song are all references to contemporary life that are captured in the song’s lyrics. The chorus, which features poly-rhythmic and shimmering guitars and Mandy directly asking, “Where do we go from here?,” releases that tension.
