My Reggae Rockin’ Journey, Vol. 1 by GrooveGalore MuziK is a vibrant fusion of classic rock and reggae, merging soulful melodies with electrifying rhythms. Led by the seasoned multi-instrumentalist, producer, and drummer Paul KasticK, this album reinterprets iconic rock hits through a reggae lens, with collaborations from renowned artists.

Reggae Rockin’ Journey, Vol. 1 kicks off with a high-energy cover of Whitesnake’s 1987 hit “Here I Go Again,” featuring KasticK and Beniton. The track explodes with fiery anthemic energy, blending upbeat beats with soulful, sultry vocals. The song’s vibrant rhythms build to an intense thumping by KasticK, who also soars his voice through the driving melodies. On the other hand, Beniton’s rapping interlude makes the song exciting and intriguing.

“I’ll See U in My Dreams” opens with lush, shimmering melodies and swelling strings. KasticK’s soulful delivery is steeped in longing and tenderness, while the reggae rhythms drop in, bringing a vibrant, immersive feel.

“Breathe a Sigh” stands out as one of the album’s more laid-back yet irresistibly catchy tunes, perfect for unwinding. The backup vocals uplift the track, adding warmth and turning it into a contagious, feel-good anthem.

“Here I Go Again on My Own” is the version of “Here I Go Again” without Beniton’s rap verses, focusing solely on KasticK’s vocal performance. Without the bustling dynamism of the original, this version has more grit and passion.

The last four tracks on Reggae Rockin’ Journey, Vol. 1 are instrumental versions of the previous songs, “I’ll See U in My Dreams,” “Night by Night,” and “You’re in My System,” which let listeners fully appreciate the rich textures without vocal and lyrical distractions.
