North Walesโ own Eve Goodman and SERA has made a breathtaking record with their collaborative album Natur, released just this October 10th, 2025. Born from friendship, shared roots, and a deep reverence for the wild landscapes surrounding Caernarfon, this record is ode and an awakening, a call to reconnect with the earth and the inner rhythms of womanhood. Recorded at Wild End Studio near Llanrwst with veteran producer Colin Bass, Natur unfolds like a sonic pilgrimage through woodland paths, ocean winds, and quiet heartspaces, wrapped in the Welsh languageโs lyrical magic.
The opening track, โBendith,โ sets the tone beautifullyโa celestial acapella that blossoms into a meditative wave of harmonies. Goodman and SERAโs voices intertwine like twin rivers, smooth yet commanding, echoing against an expansive soundscape that feels both ancient and alive. Their vocal control is spellbinding, their delivery serene yet spine-tingling, like a hymn whispered to the wind.
Moving deeper, โTangnefeddโ (which made them finalists in the Can i Gymru competition) is a tender balm. With soft, deliberate guitar strumming and vocals that shimmer like morning dew, the song radiates peace and surrender. Thereโs a crystalline beauty hereโvoices so pure and translucent they seem to hover just above the surface of the strings, creating a hush that feels sacred.
Later, โRhwng y Coedโ lifts the listener into a place of light and air. The duetโs high, floating vocals drift effortlessly over gentle acoustics, evoking the image of sunlight filtering through forest canopies. Itโs ethereal yet grounded, a perfect reflection of the albumโs heart.
Altogether, Natur is a living ecosystem of sound and spirit. Itโs folk music in its truest sense: deeply human, wildly natural, and quietly transformativeโa tender conversation between two voices and the land that raised them.
