never be enough by The Macarons Project: Review
The Macarons Project’s “never be enough” sets the mood with a mellow rhythm and some somber acoustic fingerstyle plucking. The singer’s enchanting voice will cast a spell over you and calm your nerves. She has a beautiful, pure voice that gives the song a touching atmosphere.
As the song progresses, ethereal sounds and harmonies are introduced. All of it sounds like a fantastic fusion of indie pop and acoustic styles. This song makes me think of all the wonderful things about being emotionally invested, a feeling that is especially potent in the fall and winter. For some reason, when I listen to acoustic indie music with breathy voices, it makes me feel like I’m on cloud nine. Like “never be enough,” this song is so mystical that it will completely absorb your feelings and leave you at ease. The shaker instrument has a beautiful sound and is implemented beautifully in this track. I really appreciate how even the smallest details some musicians provide can elevate an otherwise ordinary performance to the level of a Grammy winner. The tune ends appropriately for such a mysterious composition with some piano fills and the return of the ambient sounds.
The Macarons Project is an Indonesian brother-and-sister pair based in Canada. They had been making music ever since they were youngsters. However, in 2015 they began playing under the name “The Macarons Project.” They began by performing a number of cover tunes.
