Ofili release a new single ‘Rise’

Francis ‘Ofili’ Adetokunbo, a musician from Lagos, Nigeria, is currently based in Athens. The 33-year-old has been making Afro Beats, Hip Hop, and Trap music for more than a decade, with his first releases arriving just three years ago, shortly after relocating to Athens.

He is the fifth and oldest sibling in the basketball family of Giannis Antetokounmpo. His stage name is the same as his grandfather’s name, and it signifies “peace and pleasure.” So far, he’s published a number of tracks, including ‘Shekosi’ (2020/Def Jam Greece) and ‘Like Giannis,’ a searing tribute to Giannis Antetokoumbo,’ which he collaborated on with Athenian mainstays Moose and Negros Tou Moria in the summer of 2021. This was issued by Sky Vector Music, a newly founded label with which he currently works on a regular basis.

He has also released the singles ‘Count On U’ and ‘On My Level’ through the Athens-based imprint, while in June 2022 he released his most complete work, the ‘Rise’ EP, which includes, among other things, the eponymous song, which is also featured in the Disney-produced film ‘Rise,’ which examines the life of Giannis Antetokoumbo and his brothers.
