Check out the exclusive Interview below:

1. Your roots can often shape your journey. Can you share a story or moment from your early life that had a significant impact on your path into music?
KOWIKAN: Music has always been my life. Since childhood,I’ve spent my days and nights surrounded by it. My journey began with staying up late with my brother, recording DJ sets and hits straight from the radio onto tapes. This deep, lifelong obsession with rhythm and sound is the core of KOWIKAN
2. Did your musical journey begin with formal training, or was it more of a personal exploration? How has that shaped your unique approach to your craft?
KOWIKAN: I am a self-taught producer. I believe this path allowed me to develop a unique sound without being restricted by
traditional rules. Everything I know comes from my passion for experimenting with beats and sounds in my own
studio, letting my ears and instincts guide the creative process.
3. Who were some of the most influential figures in your early musical life, and how did they inspire your sound? Also, what’s the story behind choosing the name ‘KOWIKAN’?
KOWIKAN: My biggest influences are legends ATB,AVICII,and PAUL KALKBRENNER. They inspired me to blend melody
with deep energy. As for my artist name, KOWIKAN is a creative shortening of my real name. It represents my
identity and the personal journey I’ve taken to finally share my music with the world.
4. What do you believe sets your music apart? How would you describe your sound to someone discovering you for the first time, and what emotions or experiences do you hope to evoke in your listeners?
KOWIKAN: I think my music stands out because it combines deep, emotional melodies with the powerful energy of modern EDM.
My sound is a mix of nostalgia and future vibes. I want my listeners to feel a sense of freedom and hope-exactly like
the atmosphere in “Sailing Together”. I don’t just make tracks for the club;I make music for the soul and for those
moments when you want to escape reality.
5. For most artists, originality is first preceded by a phase of learning and, often, emulating others. What was this like for you? How would you describe your own development as an artist and music maker, and the transition towards your own style, which is known as EDM?
KOWIKAN: I wouldn’t say I planned to make EDM from the start. For years, I was just focusing on writing down my thoughts and
lyrics. The music followed much later, almost by accident, as I started experimenting with how to give those words
more energy. It evolved into EDM naturally, but for me, it’s always the story and the lyrics that come first.
6. Music often transcends entertainment. What’s your view on the role and function of music as political, cultural, spiritual, and/or social vehicles – and do you try and affront any of these themes in your work, or are you purely interested in music as an expression of technical artistry, personal narrative, and entertainment?
KOWIKAN: I don’t use my music for politics. For me, music is a spiritual and personal journey. It’s a way to express emotions that
words alone cannot capture. My work is a personal narrative;I want to create a space where listeners can find their own
inner peace or strength. While I appreciate the technical side of production, my main goal is to connect with people on an
emotional level and provide a high-quality escape from everyday stress.
7. Do you feel the rewards of your musical career match the energy and passion you invest in it, or are there different kinds of fulfillment you’re still seeking?
KOWIKAN: The most rewarding part is the moment of completion. After spending years refining lyrics and ideas, seeing them finally
transform into a polished track is an incredible feeling. For me, itself-turning a silent thought into a sound that can move
others. While I’m always seeking to grow, the energy I invest is returned every time I hear the final version and realize
I’ve stayed true to my vision.
8. Can you walk us through your creative process? From the first spark of an idea to the finished track, what’s the most essential part of your process, and how do collaboration or external influences shape your work?
KOWIKAN: My process begins with the lyrics, but the sonic inspiration comes to vocals,I’ve always been drowned to the power and
emotion of voices like John Martin’s. For “Sailing Together”I wanted that specific masculine, anthemic energy.I used a
high-quality vocal production that captures that spirit, as I feel it’s the perfect match for the deep, melodic EDM I create.
Finding the right vocal tone to carry my words is the most essential part of my work.I spent a lot of time auditioning different
voices and friends to find the perfect fit. After many trials, I found the right vocal and processed it heavily to achieve that
specific” John Martin vibe”I was looking for. This experiment taught me that as a producer, you must be a director as well-
9. What’s been the most challenging hurdle in either your personal life or music career, and how has it shaped you as an artist?
KOWIKAN: The biggest hurdle was time and finding the right balance. For a long time, music was a passion kept in the
background while life and responsibilities took priority. Overcoming it meant finally deciding to build my own
professional studio and dedicating myself to the craft, no matter how long it took. It was a journey of patience-
Learning that art cannot be rushed, and the right moment for “Sailing Together”would eventually come.
10. On the flip side, what moment or achievement in your career so far has made you feel the proudest, and why? And let’s talk about your latest release and future plans.
KOWIKAN: I am proudest of the fact that I never gave up on my musical dreams. Building my own studio in my
home “Sailing Together”is a huge milestone for me. My future plans are to keep creating music that
bridges the gap between deep creating emotions and energetic beats. I’m already working on new tracks,
And my goal is to reach an international audience while staying true to the KOWIKAN sound.
11. With social media having a heavy impact on our lives and the music business in general, how do you handle criticism, haters, and/or naysayers in general? Is it something you pay attention to, or simply ignore?
KOWIKAN: To be honest, I’ve stayed away from the public eye until now, which is why my social media presence is still growing. I wanted to wait until I had real results and music I could be truly proud of before stepping out into
the world. Now that I have “Sailing Together”and solid foundation, I’m ready to share my journey. I don’t worry
about critics;I’m focused on this exciting new chapter and showing the world what I’ve been working on in silence.
12. Creative work in a studio or home environment, or interaction with a live audience? Which of these two options excites you most, and why?
KOWIKAN: I am definitely a studio person at heart.I love the silence and the creative focus I have in my own studio-
It’s where my lyrics and melodies truly come to life. However, now that my music is out there, I’m becoming
more excited about the idea of performing live. There is something special about seeing people’s direct
reactions to the sounds I’ve spent so much time perfecting i private.
13. Do you think is it important for fans of your music to understand the real story and message driving each of your songs, or do you think everyone should be free to interpret your songs in their own personal way?
KOWIKAN: I think it’s a mix of both. Since I spend years on my lyrics, the original message is very important to me. However,
music is a universal language. Once a song is released, it belongs to the listeners too. I love the idea that someone
might find a completely different, personal meaning in my words that helps them through their own life. The real story
is my foundation, but the listener’s interpretation makes the song immortal.
