P U L L U P by Terrarri: Review
Following up on his previous single ‘Sweet Like Dominique’ that has bagged him the title of Duval’s Finest XXL, the Jacksonville rapper brings us another fire track, ‘P U L L U P’.
At its core, the song is about Terrarri “having fun on the beat and creating an unforgettable vibe.” And boy he does! Mixing different vocal melodies and styles in his flow, he not only plays with the flow but also shows off the diversity of his rap skills. The easygoing nature of the lyrics makes the song an instant earworm. The instrumentation of the song and the beat is somewhat Sahbabii-inspired with the deep rumbling bass and cicada hi-hats and in its keyboard and synth melodies.
Quotable Lyrics:
I got different whips in the field no Django
I got yellow diamonds, same color like it’s lemonade
You didn’t want to see me win, homeboy you’re too late
Ain’t no Maserati lil boy, this that outer space
I got Dirty Diana dancing in my kitchen space
And Billy Jean too making all the money plays
She looking thick in them jeans I’m trynna concentrate
Producer Birdie Bands did an excellent job on the production of the song. The sub-bass is thick and rumbly to satisfy the basshead in you but it doesn’t make the other instruments or the vocals sound muddy. The slight vocoder/autotune fx gives the vocals an edge that makes it appear a bit bright in the mix. Terrarri features his brother Carnell in the second verse of the song and that kid spits fire. I would not have guessed in a thousand years that he’s only 14 listening to him rap. That kid is going places! Pull up and give this track a spin.
