Peter Lake released notable new track ‘Crowds’
The first release of 2023 features three more hits from the artist who calls himself the “Ghost of New York.” In the past 24 months, Peter Lake—the only truly anonymous singer-songwriter in the world—has released a string of singles that have collectively been listened to over 23 million times on Spotify and 19 million times on YouTube. Once again, Lake has used the universal language of music to craft messages of solace and hope for people all over the world.
‘Crowds’ is a tribute to Lake’s favorite collaborator Charley Drayton, whose unmatched drum beats turn the song into a fast-paced anthem protesting the unfair use of power and a vehicle for Lake’s sometimes cryptic lyrics. Observation from Lake: “The drums that Charley plays are unique. Something magical happens there. I’m relieved he’s done with Bob Dylan’s tour. I want Charley back so badly.”
