Pheelynx releases enchanting new song ‘I’d Rather Be Bound’
The song ‘I’d Rather Be Bound’ was written six years before it was finally recorded. This song was incredibly challenging for her to release as a songwriter who is going through a significant journey of self-discovery.
When Pheelynx first wrote it, she believed it to be about a brief romantic encounter that turned dangerously sour. It turned out that she was actually writing about a terrible abuse that had been kept hidden for a long time. Dark trauma that you can only pour into the music. Despite the topic, one of her favorite EP tracks is this one because of the depressing lyrics, eerie strings, and overall slow build. The listener will get the impression that this is a unique sound coming from a girl who is all by herself on an island, which she loves.
