Pulp by Love Ghost: Review
Love Ghost, a band from Los Angeles consisting of 5 members, well-known for its energetic, one-of-a-kind, and highly expressive music, have dropped their new track. Titled as โPulp,โ it concerns the spiritual life of a recovering addict and breaks all barriers. Musically, this is classified as Alternative Rock, and the instruments employed in its creation include guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard. Even though it was not recorded in a studio, the song has a high-quality, professional sound with its music adding a great complement to the lyrics, which is a standing point.
If youโre into rock, youโll instantly feel its crash and burn, and the emotional words. In the first part, the vocalist sings about returning to his old life, remembering the hard times he went through with just God by his side. With love as his primary weapon, he poses the question, โHow can I go to paradise?โ in the hook. Since love is only chemical, he begs God to punish him severely. In the songโs last stanza, he laments that he has become numb from attempting to juggling too many things and begs God to help him escape his predicament, saying that he canโt go on like this.
In our opinion, โPulpโ is an honest and vulnerable attempt to address and channel all pent-up feelings, resonating with each word. What could at first sound like a melancholy eighties anthem turns out to be an intense roller coaster of feelings from start to end. Itโs time for you to quit living under a rock because Love Ghostโs all genre/no genre flair is what makes them special and worth all the rage.
