Rico Nasty releases a new video for her song “Intrusive.” Rico Nasty’s upcoming album La Ruinas is expected to include the single.
Rico Nasty stated in a since-deleted Instagram post that she had completed production on her next effort, which would be titled La Ruinas instead of the long-awaited Rx. Following the release of the rumored lead song “Vaderz” with BKTHERULA, the DMV artist has released another genre-bending track named “Intrusive,” produced by Ben10k and Danes Blood and featuring her rapping about her rockstar lifestyle, copycats, and more:
“I am nonchalant to the bullshit, yes, all my thoughts are intrusive, so don’t make me do it, heads roll, bodies rock, getting right, new body from the body shop, came back to kill you, get your body chopped, we took some shrooms and went out to a party, had to calm the trip so I took a bit of Molly … skinny bitch, no butt, I’m only here to smoke more blunts!”
The companion video for “Intrusive” starts with a sort of “thank you” message to Rico Nasty’s crew (including cameraman Marco Alexander) before disclosing that it was made for free. The Sugar Trap performer is then seen getting dolled up in a dressing room before fleeing down the street with the crew in behind. The rest of the video shows her following signs to “Black Punk,” catching vibes at a fast market, and more, all while various messages appear on screen.
Rico Nasty’s debut album Nightmare Vacation, a 16-song offering with guest appearances from Gucci Mane, Don Toliver, Aminé, Trippie Redd, ppcocaine, Sukihana, and Rubi Rose, was released a few years ago. The album topped Billboard’s Heatseekers list and became Spotify’s second most streamed debut in the United States at the time, in addition to critical acclaim.
Below is Rico Nasty’s video for “Intrusive.” Hopefully, we’ll hear a lot more about La Ruinas in the near future.
