Say Anything by Blueprint Tokyo: Review
Blueprint Tokyo is an Oklahoma City and Lethbridge, Alberta-based indie rock duo. Their song โSay Anythingโ by Blueprint Tokyo ushers in a throwback atmosphere reminiscent of the 1980s. When the vocalist gets into his groove, his voice emits a mood that, once it hits you, will definitely send chills down your spine. His natural voice has a rich baritone quality that is emotive and has a nice reverb to it.
The guitar, drums, and bass arrangements are gorgeous, and they do a fantastic job of accompanying the vocalist. They have this whole aesthetic that is reflective of the 1980s, which gives us the impression that time is still alive in the happy memories we have of playing video games on the FAMICOM (Family Computer by Nintendo Entertainment) in our living rooms when we were children. However, as we have grown into adults, the sounds of that era continue to reverberate through what Blueprint Tokyo has to offer us as well. In addition to that, that is a really outstanding name for a band! I mean absolutely poetic and vibrant.
The track contains distinct layers of guitar works and percussion transitions that are very hypnotic, and with just one listen, it is quite easy to become completely immersed in the extraordinary trance that the band induces in you. The song comes to a close with a synthesizer-heavy cadence that is distinct from the rest of the music and it is why it serves as a very effective way to say goodbye to the tune.
