7 songs, roughly 26 minutes and the enigmatic vocals of Davey Jones β make up one helluva timeless rock n roll album βBurn The Bright Outβ.
Ominous, soothing instrumentals of Time in the Dark will lull you into a dreamscape as you take in your surroundings. And then Dead Weight whisks you back to the albumβs real nature; a chaotic and kick down the doors down to make an entry kind of vibe.
Β When you fixate on the albumβs self-titled track, Burn The Bright Out, it will sway you to its rhythm and its heavy guitar play will sweep you off your feet! Shine A Light is full of youthful spirit, a fresh perspective of rock, featuring a more passionate synchronization of guitars and incredible early 2000s-like drum work. Taking a total eerie turn, Scatter The Ashes is a brilliant showcase of diversity in alt-rock with an edgy bassline. From percussions lead by beautiful guitar riffs, You Can Take It Out on Me is somewhat romantic, a mellifluous journey that keeps its charismatic tune even during the hard-hitting rocky chorus. Itβs the perfect ending to βBurn The Bright Outβ EP, which is nothing short of absolute sonic euphoria. Davey Bones, or Patrick Bayliss from Portland, is a musical genius and he proves that there are no limits to what an artisan of his caliber can accomplish with a myriad of talents to become a rock name for generations to come!
