Sea by Said Sara: Review
California based folk-punk artist David Benson, who goes by the stage name Said Sara released his new Single ‘Sea’. Sticking to his roots, this song is raw, emotional and explosive.
The track opens with a bright, heavy acoustic guitar accompanied by thumping kick drums and harmonica sets up the mood for the raw unfiltered singing style to take the stage. It gets loud but the singing or the instruments never overshadow one another and amidst this organized chaos the poetry and emotion make their presence known.
The sudden key changes here and there add neat little flares to the songs and halfway through when he strips down the song to just a guitar and his voice, it creates the essence of an ominously calm sea building up to be untamed and explode with the chaos again that follows. Said Sara has once again showcased his raw, dynamic sound and a minimalist yet explosive mature songwriting talent that he has honed and perfected over the years in this three-and-a-half-minute track.
