Set me on fire by Ruby Nixxons: Review
With the vibes of 60s and 80s classic rock, Ruby Nixxons released their latest single, “Set me on fire.” Three individuals, Dan Briody on lead vocals, Gordon Chalmers on drums, and Steve Mosely on guitar and vocals, decided in their 50s to come along and make some classic rock and then blew it out of the park.
The song “Set Me On Fire” has a powerful impact because of its pounding chords and bluesy vocals. Ruby Nixxons’ rock roots are abundantly clear as they guide us through a killer dynamic framework full of movements and guitar hero moments with raw, powerful riffs, crisp melodies, pounding drums, and groovy bass. The song’s unique ramp progression was led by the vocal melody. The band’s multilayered riffs, superb rhythm, and lead guitar harmonies made for one heck of a thrilling rock ride. A six-minute song that combines the best of rock, classic rock, and power metal with a dash of creativity in every moment. The way the guitar riff changes over the course of the song and how the chorus and verses are repeated give the impression of a wild headbanging scene.
This song is way out there and that’s a compliment. People say rock is dead, but this song proves that rock will never die and will keep on giving new material to the listeners. Ruby Nixxons understands how to deliver massive intensity, attack, and rock sound. We’re really excited to see what this awesome band has for us in the future.
