Sign by Felicia Lase: Review

Felicia Lase proves incredible musical skills through her single “Sign”. She is one of a kind girl. Her honeyed voice, soothing to my soul, would impress the jazz scenes of New Orleans, and she has the power to reign Broadway musicals.

With a classic touch, but equally soft and a hint of nasal that helps her keep her vocals in control, “Sign” sounds like a perfect elixir of loneliness meets midlife crisis. When she sings the following lyrics, I’m just at a loss of speech –

I’ve been calling you to come here

Cause my loneliness come knocking

Take me somewhere that I won’t be alone

Take me far away

Cause I don’t know what I am hoping for

I just need

Someone to hold

When all my nights are cold

Somewhere to be

When I need to be free

Her vocal throws are like sweet dulcet candy, and I felt every line of the lyrical magic. The melody she has added to this has the potential for a dramatic delay, added in the right spots. When you listen to her carry this whole song, you’ll admire the emotional connection she has to her craft. It is remarkable! She made me feel it at a soul-deep level, crashing me against an iceberg like the Titanic, as my hopes and dreams crawl into the ocean bed. I can’t wait to listen to more of what this talented artist has to offer!
