Originating from Denver, CO, Make it So is a powerful trio with an alternative rock sound mixed with post-grunge. “So We Make” was self-produced by the band in their own private studio, making a 22-minute long EP comprised of 5 tracks showcasing Make it So’s raw energy and enthusiastic play of instruments. “So We Make” represents fondness towards the sound of “all things rock.”
“Fairlady” is the opening track for “So We Make,” it starts strong with heavy guitar riffs, immediately letting the listener get a taste of Make it So’s sound. The chorus is upbeat, and from listening, you can tell the vocalist had his groove on singing that part while strumming away at his guitar. The vocals harmonize with solo guitar and riffs and splashing cymbals of the drums.
“Little Lot” starts with a unique sound, slow and steady at first, then an immediate, in-your-face punch of high-pitched guitar, then low again, and back to the high-pitched guitar strumming, making the opening beat unpredictable and the listener curious with anticipation of what’s to come next.
“Mika,” the fourth track on “So We Make,” has an authentic grungey vibe, with vocals that roll off the vocalist’s tongue, combined with rock elements from the “roars” and screeches heard in the background of the chorus.
“Dogtown” is the last track that brings “So We Make” to a close. This song opens with the crashing of cymbals being the highlight. We hear thundering guitar beats throughout the song, which will have you nodding your head back and forth to “Dogtown.”
Give this EP a listen to bless your ears with “So We Make,” a rocking EP that will have you jamming away.
