Social Animal by Skuund: Review
Raving in ethereal riffs and an awakening drumline is exactly how Social Animal by Skuund delivers in this new post-punk hit.
Social Animal is also the title of their sophomore album, and the title track serves us with a bare feeling of melancholy and nostalgia. Skuund is out here giving their best on the production value of the song, including the misfits of the guitars, the grim, dark theme throughout the tracks and the kicking drumline is fuelled with pure energy. Social Animal is about the prison, the lockdown of soul and mind, the scream of despair in a misty, post-apocalyptic theme.
Skuund are not at all a novice in the alternative rock scene. They began their journey in 2003 in Poland and had some extended plays and an album. Their first attempt to the public, โEP 1โย debuted in 2006 and is followed by โEP 2โ one year later. Then the band took a hiatus, only to return with a single โOstatni Dzieล Zimyโ (The Last Day of Winter) a decade later, and then dropped their debut full-length โNieoczekiwanieโ (Unexpectedly) in 2020. In 2 years, they have grown and prospered by experiences enough, and they are in full throttle to come back with another full-length project. If you are a die-hard fan of Linkin Park in their heyday, Skuund is a gem to seek out.
Social Animal by Skuund is now available for streaming on different platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
