Sylvie Nicephor releases mesmerizing song titled ‘La terrasse des audiences du clair de lune’
These 24 preludes, which were written between 1909 and 1912, are notable not only in the compositions of C. Debussy but also more broadly in the literature for the instrument. They fit into a tradition that began with F. Chopin and was carried on by S. Rachmaninov, then by A. Scriabin, O. Messiaen, and the 24 preludes and fugues of J.S. Bach’s “well-tempered keyboard.”
Sylvie Nicephor is a pianist and a musicologist, making her a multifaceted artist.
