Tanlines/Swimming At Night by Vikings: EP Review
The EP Tanlines/Swimming At Night features 4 songs that are way beyond your expectations! From a group that’s versatile, yet carries this fun late 2010s flavor in their distinctive vocals and production, you have got to try this at least once!
From the first track “Tanlines,” you’ll be pulled in for an immersive experience, almost like the music has captivated you to groove to it. It hypes you up for the following track “Swimming At Night,” a disco-fied, 80s party-themed track that features a heavily tuned voice to get you shaking that body and jumping into the pool. It’s almost sinful and eerie if you’ve got the ears for it. I wish the song didn’t end under 5-minute markup! Now, it’s time to turn it up and switch up the flavors! In the next song “Tanlines – (ASH HALO Remix)” is just the first track with even more synthetic, EDM-soaked vocals and a smashing hit in the beat. All it is missing is a bass drop! Other than that, it just takes me back to the summertime parties I wish I hadn’t missed out on! And you guessed it right, the fourth and the last track is an amped-up edited version of the second number “Swimming At Night” which sounds even better as the title proceeds.
When was the last time you got a short EP with so much boost and robust energy? I bet Vikings will convince you to add this 4-piece special to your next dance-electro playlist!
