Tazewell County Line by Joshua Ketchmark: Review
The soul of an artist, and the heart of a singer. Joshua Ketchmark channels his energy into country music with an emotional voice and sentimental guitar arrangements. His performance in his track “Tazewell County Line” is remarkable as the gentle sway in his voice compliments the subtle chord structures delightfully.
Layered by a drum sequence that is an absolute mood, with a bass line reminiscent of slow dance music with a country twist, Joshua’s track breathes in a fresh atmosphere full of melody. The guitar solos are vivid and are covered with a slightly overdriven tone. It mixes beautifully with the transitions and the overall vibe of the track. Joshua’s vocals have plenty of pain, and that expression of it is influenced by his music. I admire when an artist sings with their true intent and not just a piece of poetry they just came up with. Hence, Joshua’s ode in “Tazewell County Line” is simply touching and heartfelt, and anyone with good taste in music will find this track quite wholesome.
There’s a whimsical aura and dexterity in “Tazewell County Line”, and Joshua’s contribution is very admirable. This is because each instrument from the light electric and acoustic guitar strumming patterns, to the drummer’s beat, is on the same wavelength. No instrument is far from reach, it is all synced perfectly so that the soothing essence remains intact. Aside from that, the singer’s take on the chorus and verse sections is easy to listen to and hella catchy.
