Chloe Mogg’s album, “The Crazy One,” isn’t just another rock record. It’s a dynamic 11-track opus delving into self-discovery and empowerment. It was engineered and meticulously mastered at Swan Studios with Alex Vine Ruiz.
The album explodes to life with its eponymous opener, “The Crazy One.” With heavy guitar riffs and intensive drums, Chloe’s powerhouse vocals pierce through the mix. In stark contrast, another track, “Cut Me Off,” is a shimmering gem. It showcases Chloe’s softer and melodic vocal range. Her voice soars gracefully, injecting an element of vulnerability into the song’s emotional landscape.
“Better Off” is a well-received track that weaves a web of infectious melodies and lyrics with Chloe’s dynamic delivery. She peppers her vocal range with rhyming rapping lines. Along with another track, “Heaven Sent You” “Better Off,” got recognition from EARMILK, Planet Rock, and New Noise Magazine. “Heaven Sent You,” has also topped the charts with the #1 position on Banks Radio in Australia—an evident proof of Chloe’s genius.
The album culminates with “10 More,” a track that commences with gentle, mellifluous vocals accompanied by serene strumming. As the song unfurls, it gathers momentum with the introduction of percussive elements. Meanwhile, she maintains an air of mystery with her refrained consonant tongue sound in the bridge. At the same time, the music builds up with layered guitar strums. All of this is quite engaging and keeps us reeling for more.
With the fierce energy of “The Crazy One,” Chloe beckons listeners to keep putting themselves first. It has been available on Spotify since Sept 22. Give it a shot!
