ViennaCC turns romance into a six-track journey on The Light Between Us, an optimistic pop EP that follows two people from the nervous thrill of taking a chance to the deeper commitment of choosing each other through life. Written, performed, and produced entirely in his Vienna studio, the project treats love not as one grand cinematic event, but as something that keeps unfolding through ordinary days, unexpected changes, and countless small decisions.
“Get Ready for the Action” kicks the story into motion with glitchy electronic buzz, heavy deep bass, and fat, rumbling beats. ViennaCC delivers the vocal in a measured, paced style that gives the track a slightly mechanical edge, while the catchy rhythm keeps everything bright and playful. There is an appealing sense of movement here, as though the protagonist has finally stopped standing at the edge of life and decided to jump in. Confidence may not have arrived yet, but courage has.
By “The Night We Fell In Love,” that tentative energy has become something warmer and more intimate. A glowing melody sits over heavy beats and bass while ViennaCC’s slow, robotic vocal delivery gradually creates a surprisingly human emotional centre. Rather than rushing toward romantic grandiosity, the song lets the connection between its two characters build patiently, making the eventual passion feel earned.
The concept gives The Light Between Us its strongest quality: each song represents another season in the same relationship, so the EP has a sense of forward motion even when its subject is simply love. ViennaCC’s background across punk, hard rock, rock’n’roll, and dance music also helps explain the record’s instinct for movement. His pop is built to be sung along to and, just as importantly, danced to.
The Light Between Us argues that true romance is not about finding one perfect moment. It is about keeping the light between two people alive long after that first spark.
