The Suncatchers is going to make you pop on your favorite classic movie with their nostalgic latest single, “Audio Bicycle Day” or ABD, under the Music Factory Records Drop label.
The trio Joe Doria, Ari Joshua, and Brad Gibson, transports you back to the golden era of music. Beginning with Joe Doria’s 60s light and wispy keyboard strings, some cinema scenes might just start to flash in your mind’s eye. His keyboard work sweeps across the track like falling dominos, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for the rest of the instrumentation to build upon.
As the drums kick in, Brad Gibson’s groove sets the tone for the song, providing a solid foundation for Ari Joshua’s guitar to riff its magic with a catchy rhythm.
Doria’s organ comes playing real cinema and stealing the show with a playful prolonged trail creating a rhythm that is as suspenseful as it is mischievous and intriguing. It reminds me of Pink Panther playing hide and seek theatrically trying to catch crimes. As the song climaxes, the instrumentals come back alive with even more energy and dancey drip.
That authentic retro vibe that harks back to the heyday of classic music is all thanks to Floyd Reitsma’s engineering with vintage analog equipment at Studio Litho. The production quality of “Audio Bicycle Day” is top-notch, thanks to the expertise of mixing engineer Jason Gray at Blue Mallard Recording and mastering by Doug Krebs.
Get tapping and wishing as you ride back to the good old days of music with The Suncatchers’ “Audio Bicycle Day.”
