Things You Think About, the debut EP from Berlin-based singer-songwriter Alla Igityan gives you five tracks of tender vulnerability, lyrical introspection, and emotional honesty that makes you stop mid-scroll and just feel. If you’ve ever had a love you couldn’t let go of—or one you were surprised to survive—this is your new soundtrack. The opener, “Games,” is a soft acoustic confessional wrapped in hesitation and emotional limbo. Alla’s delicately sings about the torturous little mind games we play with ourselves to avoid the hurt we know is coming. It’s raw, simple, and painfully relatable, with lines like “I wanna protect me / But I’m just torturing myself” that hit harder than any dramatic ballad could.
By track three, “Better,” the mood shifts into something almost sunny, like Alla just opened the windows after a long, rainy week. The relief in her voice is sweet and lilting, as she confesses the oddly freeing realization that falling out of love can sometimes feel even better than falling into it.
And then there’s the title track, “Things You Think About” (Intimate Live Version), which is less a song and more a late-night monologue from the ghost of a regretful ex. Alla flips the perspective and sings as the person who broke her, pouring imagined apologies and what-ifs into every verse. Her voice soars, not for show, but as if it has to—carrying all the unsaid words we wish the people who hurt us would finally say.
