‘Tóxico’ WAS RELEASED BY Samuraï TO TELL AN ILLOGIC LOVE STORY. The emerging artist is on the verge of releasing her first EP.
Samuraï is one of those up-and-coming performers who has made significant progress in Spanish music, particularly in the alternative pop genre. He recently astonished us with the topic Between Rooftops, which evokes a sense of having everything under control, even if it can become obsessive. This song will be featured on Side B of their EP, Lo Que No Te Cuentan.
Samuraï has also published Tóxico, which will be included on this EP, in addition to Between Rooftops. A song that maintains its style to tell an irrational love narrative about what happens when a relationship reaches its breaking point and becomes as complex as it is toxic, as the song’s title suggests. It’s accompanied with a short clip directed by Jorge No and Yungakita in which the singer recovers and frees herself from negative emotions.
The EP will be available in both digital and physical formats. Samuraï wants to share the stories of love that aren’t told in this Side B. It will be made up of two songs: Between Rooftops, which was just released, and How Am I Going to Forget, which will be released on Friday, June 3. “This project has taught me some of the most valuable lessons of my life.” She confessed on her Instagram account, “I have experienced, I have lived, and then I have written.”
The first half of the EP is titled Lo Bonito, and it includes three previously released songs: Sin Freno, Bonita, and Dancing in the Dark. Unlike Lo Que No Te Cuentan, this Cara A refers to a period of love with which we can all identify, complemented by a 2000s aesthetic.
Both Lo Bonito and Lo Que No Te Cuentan will be released on June 17, resulting in a six-song EP that makes Samura a pop breakthrough in Spanish. The interpreter wishes to describe love in all of its facets, conveying all of the emotions she has encountered in her life: fury, intensity, obsession, and acceptance.
