With an LP featuring piano versions of Rammstein’s greatest hits, the Jatekok Duo pays tribute to the legendary metal band Rammstein. Vertigo Records released the album on May 20th.
Adélade Panaget and Nari Badal have been friends since childhood and have been performing together for the past fifteen years as the Jatekok Duo. In 2011 and 2013, this two-piano and/or four-handed ensemble received awards at the Rome and Ghent competitions.
The pianists are prospering on the classical stage, having been trained by great masters like as Christophe Eschenbach, Jean-Claude Pennetier, the Wanderer Trio, Claire Désert, and the Artemis Quartet. Their three previous recordings have met with critical and audience acclaim. The performers take special care to diversify their musical appearances and to approach their audiences in a personal way, driven by a great desire to share their love of music with a wide range of listeners.
The famed German metal band Rammstein’s producer suddenly requested them to join the tour as the opening act in 2017. This was the start of an unbelievable journey for the young women, who went on to perform in front of tens of thousands of Rammstein fans on multiple occasions. The skilled and charismatic Jatekok Duo won the hearts of the band’s listeners, going from “UFOs” to accomplices: the band’s ballads, such as Engel, are now performed with only the pianos as accompaniment, under the flames of lighters.
The Jatekok Duo, eager to capture these experiences, recorded an album of Rammstein piano arrangements, which was released on May 20th by Vertigo Records (vinyl only for France). It’s a fantastic debut for a classical band signed to the same label as Rammstein, Kiss, Metallica, and Black Sabbath.
As a result, the musicians live up to their name: the Jatekok Duo is all about playing.
They are the French piano duet who are now creating a name for themselves on the French and worldwide stages with their excitement and irresistible charisma.
