Adar Alfanbari’s “Tracking Footsteps” features his soft vocals flowing from one line to the next effortlessly without holding onto any word or stressing the syllables too much. His acoustic guitar strums give way to the imagery he depicts with his poetic lyricism.
Alfanbari begins his verses with him missing sunsets as he realizes he’s been fixated on his problems for too long. The entire song pretty much engulfs his journey with pleasing others, comparing his journey with “lights” that are not his while giving us a visualization of the nature around us and how we ignore their presence and stay absorbed in our problems instead of seeing all that we already have in our lives.
While “Tracking Footsteps” has a more alternative folk acoustic vibe with its sparkling guitar chords and lines, Adar Alfanbari is also known for his indie rock music. Being someone who’s worked with different styles and patterns, Adar has also made his own distinctive sound and signature style with his soft and yet powerfully evocative vocals that rise with an expressive and open energy conveying his heart’s most vehement desires. On the other hand, there are his lower vocals, which are even more tender and vulnerable, allowing him to express his most intimate sentiments and insecurities that he bundles up in his heart, afraid to get mocked if seen.
Save “Tracking Footsteps” for those nights when you feel you have been going in the direction you are told to. Use this track by Adar Alfanbari to be the turning point in your life when you decide to take off someone else’s shoes and head in the other direction.
