Try Me by Marcus McCoan: Review
Marcus McCoan’s track “Try Me” incorporates a beautiful mix of trap beats with stellar vocals. From the bluesy guitar solos to Marcus’s falsetto vocals, everything about the track just screams attitude. The artist sings a passionate ode that is quite catchy and captivating at the same time.
The main rhythm backing the track is this deep electro-bass that blends perfectly with the singer’s expressions and the song transitions. Once you hear it, you’ll get hooked on its infectious connection with RnB and electronica. The artist’s voice is on the modern edge of RnB, and as the elements of pop also settle in, the fusion is a treat to hear. I admire Marcus’s ability to enchant the listeners with the high notes, both with his voice and the guitar. It truly is an incredible feat to sing this well and play immensely sophisticated lead guitar arrangements at the same time.
Marcus McCoan, a rising Cornish producer and composer turned performer, has released a taster of his new ideas and new music. His new work combines his distinctive voice with an original take on electronic pop, and the hooks he creates are timeless. Marcus not only brilliantly demonstrates his powers as a songwriter by presenting a gorgeous presentation of his enticing composition, but he also demonstrates his ability as a musician and as a live performer. “Try Me” is a fantastic track that has moments of energy and melancholy, but all the while maintaining a solid tempo.
