I had believed Moore Kismet was destined for greatness ever since I first saw him play live back in 2019. Three years later, Iโm glad to listen to their debut album, UNIVERSE, and confirm my initial impression that there was a genuineness in their demeanor and dedication to the craft that I felt had been severely lacking at the time.
Even if three of the albumโs seventeen songs are prologues, interludes, and epilogues, and eleven of the songs were previously released as singles, itโs still preferable to listen to albums as a whole. Even if you have an albumโs tracklist in advance and arrange the singles in chronological order, it never compares to listening to the music as the creator intended. With UNIVERSE, Moore Kismet gives you a full and raw glimpse into his creative process, particularly how it has developed and progressed over the last three years.
The first song, โRumor,โ was published more than a year ago, so the album has been in some stage of completion for at least that long. Fans at practically all levels have been able to advance and watch the process develop over time with Moore Kismet because of the careerโs exponential growth, which is uncommonly possible.
โโUNIVERSEโ is a musical culmination of my life experiences, growth as a human being, and artist over the past 17 years of my life. For 5 years (2018-2022), I spent countless days and sleepless nights working on what I would consider to be the best Moore Kismet project to date. Itโs an album about acceptance, love, chaos, unity, and figuring out your life while trying to live it. If there was any project Iโve ever made for this project that serves as the best retelling of my life, โUNIVERSEโ is that album.โ โ Moore Kismet
