Untitled by Joie Gray: Review
Untitled makes a surprise comeback after Joie Gray yielded an Untitled version of “slow and reverb” after three years of its original release and went viral on Tiktok. It’s a spectacular wading of the track taking time to mature and evolve to reveal itself as an absolute banger.
Joie Gray brings his unique musical personality to most of the songs he writes. With Untitled, it has a bit of alt-pop mixed with receptive melodic rap, so Untitled succeeded in satisfying the musical perception of most of the listeners.
With wild lyrics, it’s easy to feel the seductive passion. It is the dedication and burning hunger of those who seek love, the curious and mysterious love. The song opens with a catchy melody that loops throughout the song before leading us to the captivating verses performed by Joie’s airy vocals. Throughout the song, a familiar thumpy bass that doesn’t overpower the looped melodies is heard with a slow and steady resonance that does not get monotonous. The more you listen to it, the more nuances reveal themselves both sonically and lyrically. The disk scratch and the beats pair so perfectly in the mix.
Untitled is a perfect song to unwind. If you are looking for a catalyst to chill or only want to get that feeling, put Untitled on your car stereo and cruise away!
