Valentine (You Can’t Have Me) by Xoe-B: Review
You can’t get any better than “Valentine” (You Can’t Have Me) when it comes to excellent danceable numbers. The entire song is brilliantly produced, with catchy melodies and smooth transitions that will get your body moving.
The electronic synth rhythm is truly remarkable with the notes aligned in a perfect sequence. As Xoe-B’s voice comes in thereafter, you can’t help but want to get up and move to the infectious beat. As soon as the song starts, it will captivate you, this is the track’s secret sauce, and it’s absolute magic. In its totality, the song is really catchy and impressive. Incredibly sensational synth and rhythm construction, with what seems like some light piano in the background, all add up to a seriously jammin’ mood. The bass arrangement gives the song an extra bounce, making it an auditory treat. Later in the song, Xoe-B’s vocal flare and rap style emerge, giving the song rousing energy and a flow you won’t be able to resist. This song has grit and hooks and would be great for practically anyone to listen to. This song is great for a night out with your friends at a club downtown thanks to the time signatures, the correct pace of the chorus, and Xoe-B’s screaming.
Xoe-B’s lyrical style expresses the vitality of an independent woman, and her melodic ability translates within the dance music of the 90s. Upon hearing the track, you’ll go from “nah mate I’m feeling out of it tonight” to “everybody on the dance floor, we’re gonna get smashed tonight!”
