Vermillion by Young God Blow: Review
The album Vermillion is by the rising hip hop Young God Blow. The artist draws inspiration from Tyler, The Creator. He is a self-taught musician who started with poetry which came naturally to him and gradually moved to rapping.
The first song of the album “Dondada” starts with a Mexican standoff tune and then with full gear the song introduces the rap verse. His powerful words complimented the whole composition and the way he raps is genius.
“Vexed”, the second song of the album begins with a synth noise and the laughter of the rapper. As the song progresses, the powerful bass and the sweet-sounding synth change the environment of the song and the flow takes it away.
“Pandemic” begins with synth keys that sound like it’s underwater. With a strong bass, the vocals enter in style making the song energetic and full of life. The breaks in between the composition are very enjoyable.
The album ends with “Ha!” which starts with a synth sound too, and then enters the laughter of the rapper and then he starts to rap with full force. This seemed to be a recurring theme and the composition that runs behind the flow is very smooth and peaceful.
The album “Vermillion” is a brilliant hip-hop album with innovative compositions and smooth flows. It is a must-listen for the fans of the likes of Jay-z, Trippie Redd and The Slump God.
