Atlanta’s Cyberdelics build worlds, and VisionZ is one hell of a dystopian trip to get lost in. This three-track EP dives headfirst into a grim, cyberpunk narrative where control, propaganda, and resistance collide, all wrapped in a sound that fuses nu-metal grit with glitchy, futuristic electronics. It’s heavy, it’s cinematic, and yeah, it doesn’t pull its punches. Drawing from a conceptual arc involving the shadowy Enox Corp and a defiant resistance, the record feels like a broadcast from a collapsing society, buzzing with urgency and rebellion.
Things kick off with “Evo,” and it’s chaos in the best way. Distorted guitars crash in like a storm, backed by pounding, chest-rattling beats. Meanwhile, the vocals are raw and unfiltered, almost manic, like frustration spilling over after being bottled up for too long. With unhinged energy here that grabs you by the throat, the tone is set for everything that follows. It’s aggressive, sure, but there’s method to the madness.
Then comes “Visionz,” the centerpiece, and it shifts gears just enough to hit harder emotionally. The gritty guitars are still there, but now they’re layered with ambient textures that stretch the sound into something more expansive. The vocalist really goes for it here, soaring, straining, pouring everything out like it’s his last stand. It feels like the eye of the storm, where clarity and chaos blur into one.
Finally, “Rodeo” closes things out on a darker, more volatile note. The vocals dip into a low, menacing tone before snapping upward into something more vulnerable, almost desperate. Meanwhile, the guitars buzz and churn beneath layers of atmosphere, creating a tension that never quite settles. It’s restless and uneasy, like the fight isn’t over, not even close.
All in all, VisionZ is a tight, hard-hitting project that blends narrative ambition with sonic firepower. It’s loud, it’s layered, and it sticks with you—like a signal you can’t quite tune out.
