Waste My Revenge by The Thing With Feathers: EP Review
The Thing With Feathers is a sensational rock band with a diverse sound. Their EP entitled “Waste My Revenge” encompasses the timbres of alternative, indie, and pop too. Altogether, it’s a wonderful record that should resonate with the masses entirely.
“Don’t Break My Heart” starts off the EP with a bang. It’s a heavy bass-driven track with plenty of heart and groove. Once the beat drops and the vocals roll in, it’s impossible not to nod your head and tap your feet to its cadence. A combination of alternative rock and pop filled the music, and there’s more to come. Next up is the emotional piece “Everything I’m Missing.” It’s got a deep narrative along with a cool guitar sequence. The instrumental tones used had plenty of echo and overdrive, and the combination was excellent. “Golden” is a lovely pop-rock track that feels like the ideal road-trip song. So feel free to jam out to this tune while you’re on a highway and engrossed on a midnight ride through the city.
When “These Drugs” came on, I just wanted to grab my guitar and start learning the riff. It’s such a captivating melody, that caught my attention instantly! Furthermore, the EP’s self-titled track “Waste My Revenge” arrived, and brought along a powerful indie sound with it. The driving force of the singer can be felt, along with invigorating rhythms. “Can You See Me” ends the record with one last show of alternative rock, and boy was it an experience!
