When It Began by Pullstring: Review
Pullstring is a fairly new band in the industry. They introduced themselves to the world in 2022 with the release of their debut single, which was titled “Sunday Afternoon,” and now they have returned with another incredible work of art titled “When It Began.” Their music is a unique fusion of alternative rock, a bit of punk rock, and passages of thunderous drumming and guitar playing.
The electric guitar riff and heavy drumming set the tone for the song, then comes the bass and rhythm guitar. As the drums, electric guitar, and bass start to get faster, the vocals come in. The vocal harmonies and melody of the chorus make the song amazing. The song’s guitar solo started off magnificently, but it felt a bit rushed toward the end. When the guitar solo kicks in, the song really starts to rock, and you start to feel like your inner self is about to transcend.
The song “When It Began” gives a feel of 90s alternative rock and is enjoyable to listen to, especially for its awesome guitar solo and creative lyrics. There are only 5 members in the band: Tristan McGlauchlen as the drummer, Joshua Jordan and Alex Fuller as the guitarists, Conno as the bassist, and Josh Hogan as both the guitarist and singer. Even though they have a long way to go, they are on the right path to alternative rock.
