Zomboy has been proving his worth as a musician and producer with his genre-bending, extremely creative approach for years. The former Never Say Die Records star gained a reputation for being persistent and uncompromising in his artistic vision and stylistic integrity throughout his career. Zomboy continues this tendency with “Flatlined” featuring Micah Martin, even raising it to a new level and exhibiting yet another creative tool in his arsenal. Zomboy manages to confound all expectations once again by combining elements from dubstep and emo rock. With the establishment of his new imprint, he is no longer bound by others’ expectations, allowing him to focus on what really matters: crafting music that reflects his authentic personality.
Flatlined is a very meaningful project for me because it is not only my first release of the year, but it is also the first release on my new record label, “Rott n’ Roll Records.”
After the incredibly talented Micah Martin approached me backstage during a show and proposed we work on something, the project came together swiftly. It just so happened that I had begun working on an idea that would perfectly complement his voice style on that particular day. I hope everyone enjoys this song as much as I do, but based on the reactions I’ve gotten while performing it live, I don’t believe that will be an issue!” — Zomboy
